Holy Cross 595 – a vernissage of a Krzysztof Pęczalski photographic exhibition
Monastery of the Missionary Oblates at the Holy Cross Mountain
The Świętokrzyskie Millennium, that falls this year, was commemorated by the Cultural Centre of Kielce with an exceptional exhibition of Krzysztof Pęczalski, a gifted photographer. A vernissage of the exhibition was held in the Polish Parliament on 7th June 2006. Romantic photographs turned out to be a success again at a vernissage in the Michałowski Gallery in Lublin on 29th June 2006. Now, the population of our province and tourists can eventually enjoy their beauty in such an extraordinary place as cloistered galleries. The vernissage will be accompanied by the screening of Świętokrzyskie Millennium, a film by D. Rakoczy. The exhibition comprises 32 photographs and a life-sized copy of the Pilgrim, a sculpture of Saint Imre wandering from Nowa Słupia to the Holy Cross Mountain, as one of the most popular legends of Świętokrzyskie has it.
The exhibition is on display until 15th September 2006
