The Old Guard – a vernissage of a Mikołaj Grynberg photographic exhibition
(Kings of Samba 50 years later)
The author is a psychologist by profession. He has been engaged in art photography for the past 15 years. His works were displayed at a number of multiple-artist and post-contest exhibitions such as the Polish Press Photography Competition ’94 and ’95, The Family ’94, Visioni e Sansazioni Rome ’95, The Life Line Tallin ’95, Taste Life ’97, The Faces of Prague – The Luxfer Art Gallery ’04. His artistic output was presented in a number of individual exhibitions such as The Beginning – The Small Gallery ’95, New is Coming – The Baturo Gallery ’96, Different People – The CDQ Gallery ’02, Time Will Tell – The Cane Manufacturing Works ’03. He is a prize-winner of, among others, the Polish Press Photography Competition (prize + honourable mention for a black and white photo essay) and The ILFORD Competition ’95 (prize for a portrait of Prof. Bardini, honourable mention for a portrait of the journalist Turowicz).
